Biography

My name is Afiqah Ariff.
My interest in the mass communication field started when I was in high school, immersing myself in the music culture, attending gigs and concerts. I was always intrigued of the process and what happens in the background of an event.
I studied Bachelors in Mass Communication, majoring Broadcasting & minoring Public Relations in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus, Malaysia. During Foundation, I found myself leaning more towards the cinematic arts but I also did not want to compromise my interests which led me to pursue my Degree, with my respective major and minor.

I am a scriptwriter, film producer and director.
I like to tell stories that people can relate to, and issues that people do not like to talk about. Culture is a passion of mine so I like to fuse them with my storytelling, making them come to life in my films.

I also do a little bit of photography and voice acting. I am able to work in all stages of production, from pre-production (scripting, producing),
production (directing) to post-production (foley, voiceovers).

While pursuing my Degree, I also worked part-time and took up project-basis jobs. When choosing my part-time jobs, I made sure that they are jobs that would expose me to real-life experiences of the mass communication field so that I am able to shape and sharpen the skills needed to work in this field.
